Francisca Pinto

Lisbon. A dancer, performer, interpreter and creator, she trained at the National Conservatoire Dance School and holds a degree from the Lisbon School of Dance (Escola Superior de Dança). She also holds a postgraduate qualification in Communication and Arts from FCSH – NOVA University of Lisbon. In 2014, she completed the PEPCC programme at Fórum Dança, under the guidance of Patrícia Portela and Lia Rodrigues.

Since 2010, she has collaborated as a dancer/performer on a range of projects with Lia Rodrigues, Clara Andermatt, Martine Pisani, Jonas&Lander, Catarina Miranda, Bruno Alexandre, Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz, among others. A yoga practitioner since 2010, she completed the CPYOGA Instructor Training Course in Lisbon.

She teaches Contemporary Dance and Performing Arts workshops at various public and private schools and institutions, including the Lisbon School of Dance and the Vítor Cordon Studios, among others. In 2021, she began a collaboration with dancer and choreographer Francisco Thiago Cavalcanti and, together with Bárbara Cordeiro and Piero Ramella, founded the collective UM CAVALO DISSE MAMÃE, performing as an interpreter and co-creator in the works TAMBÉM SE MATAM CAVALOS and Quando eu morrer me enterrem na floresta.

She is the author and performer of the solo works QUERER PARA VER (2020) and Sololo ou A Ilha (2023). She is the mother of Valentim and Makeda.
